This is a remote role with a remote team. There is flexibility in the structure of the working arrangement, ranging from part-time contractor to full-time salaried employee.
You must be eligible to work in the US (because legalities), and residing in the continental US (because time zones).
Compensation will range between $60-100K+ based on ability.
To take CoachAccountable to the next level, we seek to bring on a Marketing Platform Manager.
That title it a bit abstract, so let me break it down:
To date, we’ve simply never bothered to keep up any sort of social media presence. Nor really any outbound marketing of any kind. It just hasn’t been a priority.
I’m excited to change that; the time is right.
Why?
The CoachAccountable Perspective.
The CoachAccountable Perspective is a new venue that will be ready to launch soon. With 39 posts in place already, it is to be a growing collection describing novel ways to deliver better coaching.
My aim is for the CA Perspective to be a destination unto itself for coaches (CA customers or not, don’t care), one which offers value and insight on how to thrive as a coach.
Broadly, the Marketing Platform Manager’s job is to build and promote CoachAccountable’s presence in the coaching world.
The first venue for doing this is to grow and promote the readership and engagement of The CoachAccountable Perspective.
In a nutshell: I’m writing the word, I need someone to help me spread that word.
More concretely, I’m looking to build The CoachAccountable Perspective as a platform, as elegantly defined by Michael Hyatt in his book “Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World”.
The Marketing Platform Manager’s job will therefore be to build and grow that platform by efforts on various fronts, including:
This list is not exhaustive, and the Marketing Platform Manager will be responsible for proposing and executing whatever efforts are worthwhile to meaningfully move the needle. As Steve Jobs said, “We don’t pay people to tell them what to do, we pay people to tell US what to do.”
CoachAccountable has been building and evolving a platform to elevate the work of coaches for 12 years and counting. Fully bootstrapped and independent, we don’t answer to anyone but ourselves and our customers.
We have a mature platform with product-market fit, and are already securely profitable. What that means is we're in a comfortable situation in that we don't need to do marketing, but instead we get to in service of expanding CA's purpose: to elevate the practice of coaching at large by making the results it produces more powerful, tangible, and compelling.
I have a friend who’s a master at sales. He got his chops selling books door to door, but I think what really makes him exceptional is that he’s always genuinely enthused about whatever it is he’s selling. (A corollary to this is that if he’s not enthused, he’ll quit, move on, or simply pass on the job.) It’s this sort of authentic investment that makes hearing his pitch not only palatable, but fun and life-giving.
It holds in general: genuinely understanding and liking what you are promoting works.
Accordingly, I will only consider people who already get (i.e. truly understand) coaching and readily understand and dig The CoachAccountable Perspective. I have no interest in courting a marketer who’s just looking for a job. CA is too small to not be selective in this way, and genuinely getting coaching and CA’s specific power to elevate it is the only way our marketing efforts are going to land as authentic.
Deliver better programs. To more people. With less work.
