While in the WYSIWYG editor, you can use keyboard shortcuts to accomplish most toolbar actions.
These all list the CTRL key, which is typical of Windows, but if you're on a Mac, substitute the equivalent Command key (or CMD) ⌘.
CTRL + B for bold
CTRL + I for italic
CTRL + U for underline
CTRL + S for strike
CTRL + Alt + 1 for Heading 1
CTRL + Alt + 2 for Heading 2
CTRL + Alt + 3 for Heading 3
CTRL + Shift + plus sign (+) for bigger font
CTRL + Shift + minus sign (-) for smaller font
(There are 7 size levels; the default size is 4)
CTRL + Z for undo
CTRL + Y for redo
(except in tables)
CTRL + ] for indent
CTRL + [ for outdent
- CTRL + Shift + 7 for numbered list
- CTRL + Shift + 8 for bulleted lists
CTRL + backslash (\) removes formatting from the currently selected content
Speaking of removing formatting, pasting content as plain text can often be a great way to insert content from outside documents, like PDFs, Word, and Pages.
To do a plaintext paste:
- On Windows: CTRL + Shift + V
- On Mac: ⌘ + Option + Shift + V
CTRL + semi-colon (;) inserts the current date
CTRL + Shift +

CTRL + M brings up the gallery for inserting an image
